Say ciao to the lovely people who make The Iceberg Project possible
cher-mtt-ice

Founder

Cher started The Iceberg Project in 2012 driven by a completely irrational passion for the Italian language and culture. She believes that every home needs a constant supply of pecorino cheese and wine, and at the end of her life, wants to be known for spreading smiles like wildfire. Native Italian Editor and Translator

Since she was little, Carlotta had a preference for the English language and Anglo/American culture. After acquiring a degree in Economics and living a bit in NYC trying to “live the dream”, she moved back to Florence and has put all of her time and efforts into creating a small clothing brand. While in Florence she divides her time with family, movies, concerts, and social events.

rachel-mtt-iceManaging Editor

Rachel helps plan upcoming content, writes articles about the Italian language & culture, edits away mistakes in English, and keeps the pieces in place so the business can run as smoothly as possible.

Rachel graduated with a degree in Italian language and literature and then, after falling in love with Italian art as well, went on for a master’s in art history focusing on the Italian Renaissance. She currently lives in her favorite place in the world, Florence, Italy with her bilingual dog, Stella. You can read more of her writing at Italianista.

Contributing Writer

Kevin writes articles about language learning techniques, mindset, and motivation, all with an eye toward mastery of the Italian language.

After frequent travels to Europe at a young age, Kevin became obsessed with the idea of learning a foreign language. Italian was his first of many, and years later received a Master’s Degree and teaching certification to help share his knowledge of the Italian language with others.

He considers Rome his “seconda casa,” and is patiently waiting for potato and mozzarella pizza to receive the global recognition it deserves.

hannah-mtt-ice

Contributing Writer

Hannah writes articles that make having conversations in Italian easier & more natural like this one about talking about movies or this one about pronominal verbs. She was able to spend nine lovely months in Viterbo, Italy studying abroad, where she fell in love with the Italian language, culture, and food.

Since then, she has discovered her love for travel and language learning and is excited to explore the world now that she’s graduated with her bachelor’s degree in integrated marketing communications. She currently lives in South Korea.
