But what happens when you’ve found an Italian language partner and you’ve set a date for your first conversation, but you don’t know what to talk about?
In this episode, we’ll discuss some common courteous phrases in Italian, phrases you can use to avoid awkward silences and how to experience the most beneficial interaction possible with your Italian language partner.

Le frasi
1.) Se sbaglio, correggimi, per favore. – If I make a mistake, please correct me.
2.) Vuoi parlare in inglese o in italiano prima? – Do you want to speak in English or Italian first?
3.) Come vuoi. – It’s up to you./As you’d like.
4.) Il tuo inglese è buono. – Your English is good.
5.) Sei pronto/a? – Are you ready?
Use the -o ending when talking to a male and the -a ending when talking to a female.
6.) Chiamami appena sei pronto/a. – Call me as soon as you’re ready.

7.) Ti chiamo fra (due) minuti. – I’ll call you in (two) minutes.
8.) Mhhh, come te lo spiego? – Hmmm, how can I explain it to you?
9.) Un attimo, fammi pensare. – One moment, let me think.
Optional phrases:
Sei bravo/a in inglese. – You’re really good in English.
Parli bene l’inglese. – You speak English well.
Non mi viene in mente. – It’s not coming to mind.
