Rachel Vermiglio Smith loves all things Italy. After taking an Italian course her first year in college, she realized her passion and promptly switched her major. She went on to earn her degree in Italian language and literature and then a master’s degree in art history focusing on the Italian Renaissance. She currently lives in Florence with her bilingual dog Stella, where she gets to speak Italian everyday and is surrounded by a city rich with Italian history, culture and art.
